EUROFUNK is here! NEODIGITAL commence a new series of heavy hitting EP’s starting with Volume One. It’s objective – focusing on bridging and bringing in international neurofunk artists to form one colossal EP designed to do one thing, create an audio assault built for the dance floor and to show that in music there are no borders, no matter where you come from! The first EP plays host to acts old and new to the genre featuring Stoner, Hybris, Signs, Current Value and also appearances by both label heads Phace and Misanthrop.

Current Value’s relationship with Critical Music is set to reach a new height as the label deliver his next studio album on March 25: Current Value – Biocellulose
A 12 track, digi-only tech odyssey featuring collaborations with Phace and Mefjus and remixes from Enei and Anode, Biocellulose is the latest in a recent run of successful singles EPs and tracks on the likes of Invisible, Blackout, Bad Taste, Trendkill and Critical’s Binary series. Each release neatly documenting his evolution from the more experimental, denser frontiers to the very forefront of neuro and tech-influenced drum & bass, Biocellulose compounds Current Value’s recent developments on a whole new level.
“After finishing my big LP project at the start of the year, I simply wanted to do something different and wanted get into the studio to have fun with people whom I haven’t worked with for a while (like Noisia, Rockwell and Mefjus) or have never worked with before (like Current Value and Culprate). At this point I actually didn’t aim for all our output to be put together for one release. As things came together nicely though, I thought it would be a very cool thing if I put all this collaborative music together into one pack. I have a lot of love and respect for all these producers and consider them also as my friends. So the idea for this EP was born.”

Phace’s own imprint, Neosignal Recordings, will release his fourth studio album, titled ‘Shape The Random’, on March 16th (CD, digital, limited vinyl formats), preceded by a two track album sampler on February 16th (digital and limited vinyl formats). Having worked on the album for over a year, he believes this LP to be both his best work so far and his most intense production experience to date. The 14 track album contains the cutting edge drum & bass music that’s become his signature, an uncompromising and original sound that combines twisted bass, rhythmical experimentation, high contrast ambience, deep cinematic themes, explosive energy, and elements of analogue tech and funk.

You open your inbox and you see a new Noisia track. To hear it, all you have to do is press the play button. What do you do? If your answer is “press that button”, you’ve missed out an important safety step, friend. Get yourself some protection first, because the ceiling is about to fall in. Darker than tarmac, more twisted than Hannibal; broken and beaten beyond belief, when Noisia are good, they’re fantastic, and this EP shows exactly how good they can be. “Purpose” blends insanity with precision, “Running Blind” is equally epic and mindblowing, and “Asteroids” features Prolix for a classic neuro shakedown. Another surprising guest appearance is made by Evol Intent, tuning in for something as delicate and melancholy as these guys get in “Long Gone”. A behemoth of an EP from the best in the game.

You heard that right; Phace is back on a solo tip and presents a razor sharp and absolutely fresh 4-Track EP entitled VITREOUS.
The German electronic virtuoso puts all rumours to bed claiming he might disappear after unleashing his collaborative non-Drum & Bass Neosignal band project a little earlier this year… Au contraire! Phace is all wrapped up in doing what he loves most; writing uncompromising music!
The theme of the EP is inspired by the omnipresent glass human being our era and society is characterized by. And each track featured on this release shines bright like glass as well. As usual we prefer to leave more detailed track by track judging to the listener!

let’s travel back in time to 2007; who remembers Phace’s breakthrough and rebellious debut album PSYCHO released on the former Norwegian Subtitles imprint?
well, we do, and we managed to license the whole LP plus more Phace music from that era back in time for a digital only re-release on Phace & Misanthrop’s own sub-label Neodigital Recordings!
if an album typified the season it was released in [“Album of the Month” in UK’s Mixmag Magazine in 2007], it’s this debut long player. brought up on a diet of late-90s tech-step, ‘Psycho’ simply sounds furious, punk and dirty.
we re-release all of this music in a deluxe pack, including further classic Phace singles such as “Brainwave, “Hot Rock”, “NOW!”, “Thrillseeker (with Noisia)” and many more. the pack includes a total of 28 tracks and is a true vintage and nostalgic journey through Phace’s early days :]
