Russia’s premiere drum & bass export Enei returns to close out 2015 with his eagerly awaited sophomore album, ‘Rituals’. Following up on his 2012 debut long player ‘Machines’, Enei shows off a defiantly more mature sound palette drawing influence from across the drum & bass spectrum from his trademark tech nasties through to the deep subliminals from an array of collaborators. With 15 new tracks on offer ‘Rituals’ is another triumph for an artist moving ever onwards, marking the start of Enei’s new chapter.

“After finishing my big LP project at the start of the year, I simply wanted to do something different and wanted get into the studio to have fun with people whom I haven’t worked with for a while (like Noisia, Rockwell and Mefjus) or have never worked with before (like Current Value and Culprate). At this point I actually didn’t aim for all our output to be put together for one release. As things came together nicely though, I thought it would be a very cool thing if I put all this collaborative music together into one pack. I have a lot of love and respect for all these producers and consider them also as my friends. So the idea for this EP was born.”
InsideInfo & Mefjus together have been smashing up headline slots at festivals all summer and as the fields start to empty they’re now ready to fill your speakers with their latest collaboration: ‘Pulsation’ / ‘Talisman’. Fresh off their recent collaboration ‘Footpath’ on Virus Recordings, and a slew of hits such as ‘Mythos’ and ‘Repentance’, the two producers once again join forces, perfectly melding their unique dark, underground sounds.
‘Footpath’ Mefjus & InsideInfo team up with NZ’s finest…The Upbeats for an all-time dream-team mash up that results in the uncontrollable urge to leap around and let it all go…Virus style…this drops so much it made the front row of a recent party all automatically win the World Gurning Champions 2015 and reminds the rest of us why music is fun.
Combining the hard-edge dancefloor sensibilities of Mejus’s rugged bassline science and breakbeat programming with Rido’s cinematic musicality and ear for melodic and harmonic ideas, the Optimum Trajectory EP is an almost game changing event for Blackout. Using clipped, powerful, cybertronic drums, to power the tunes forward along with neuro reese basslines that topple a skyscraper, Mefjus and Rido have created a cogent four player that will – hyperbole aside –literally melt your entire head.
After his last podcast reached number 1 in the iTunes podcasting charts, Mefjus is back with another episode set to smash that record once again.
Showcasing some of the world’s most future thinking producers from the likes of Fourward, Inside Info, Maztek, Phace, Noisia, Prolix & Gridlok.
Mefjus doesn’t hold back either, with somesneak peaks of Critical’s secret album project that is due out over the next few months and showcasing his upcoming Contemporary EP. Keep your ears peeled for those! Enjoy!
